The non-bio degradable waste includes materials such as textile, paper, rubber, tire and tube, metal, ceramics, leather, chappal and different foot wares, rexine, bags, wooden materials, coconut husk and shell, human hair, sanitary napkin and diaper etc. The, debris and inert are also form part of the non-bio degradable waste which are difficult to manage. Currently the Company is engaged only in plastic, glass, e-waste and hazardous e-waste. The other waste materials also need to be addressed for which different methodologies are required for each item. These wastes are classified in to those with value and without any value. The chappal and different foot wares, rexine, bags, sanitary napkin and diaper have no value in the market and need to be handed over to service providers by paying service charge for safe disposal. The Company is also exploring the possibility of establishing tie up with furnace based companies to use the waste as fuel till the waste to energy plants become operational. The company is in discussion with stakeholders dealing with such waste and it could be concluded in one month. A total waste management system has to be evolved then only the entire waste menace could be addressed.
